Launching of passenger vessel no. 116 Mali Brijun
The passenger vessel "Mali Brijun" for the Public Institution Brijuni National Park was launched on June 30, 2021. in Tehnomont Shipyard Pula.
The ship is aluminium catamaran type, length: 21.85 meters, breadth: 9 meters, with a capacity of 3 crew members and 150 passengers. The indoor passenger area have 100 seats capacity, of which ten are for people with physical disabilities who use wheelchairs. The open but covered passenger area has 50 seats. The ship is powered by diesel electric propulsion.
The launch was attended by Maša Mihelić, Head of the Project Preparation and Implementation Service at the Brijuni National Park, Gordana Deranja, President of Management Board at Tehnomont Shipyard and Vlatka Gulan Zetić Head of the Nature Protection Service of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. The godmother of the ship was Grozdana Božić.
The design and construction of a new passenger ship for the Brijuni National Park is one of the activities of the project "New attire of Brijuni" co-financed under the Operational Program "Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020." from the European Regional Development Fund and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund.
